About

Adegbola Gbolahan is a Senior Software Developer at Gbolissimo Technologies Ltd. He has six (6) years of experience in Android App Development. He is a graduate of the University of Ibadan, Ibadan and Nigerian Law School, Abuja.

Having a law background, Adegbola has developed several mobile applications to aid legal education in Nigeria. Among them are - High Court of Lagos (Civil Procedure) Rules 2019 App, the Rules of Professional Conduct for Legal Practitioners in Nigeria 2007 App and Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020 App. He has also developed an Android App for the newly enacted Electoral Act 2022. All the above mentioned Apps together with others have been published on Google Play Store.

Furthermore, Adegbola has a vast knowledge and experience (10+ years) in website development. In the past few years, he has developed online platforms (websites) for educational groups and NGOS. Among them are - Vantage Network Africa, Legal Pages, Pipe Group, Importers Association of Nigeria (IMAN) Special Taskforce and LSS UI.

Adegbola was a member of the Developer Student Club while in the University, and now a member of Google Developers Group Ibadan. He was one of the recipients of Google Africa Developer Scholarship in 2018 and 2019. Also in 2019, he was one of the few participants selected for the Conference for Emerging Entrepreneur, a training sponsored by the United States Consulate General Lagos. In 2020, he was one of the semi-finalists in the 60-Day App Development Challenge, a competition organised by the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.

Adegbola is one of the ICT facilitators of the National Youth Service Corps Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (NYSC SAED) Program in Oyo State where he trains corps members in websites and mobile apps development. He is also a mentor for the Google Africa Developer Scholarship 2022 program. In addition, he was one of the speakers at the DevFest Ibadan 2022, a tech conference organized by the Google Developers Group Ibadan, where he spoke to over 2000 developers and startup founders about the Nigeria Startup Act and its impacts on technology entrepreneurs.
